Main Duties:
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide a comprehensive in-patient and out-patient gastroenterology service.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Participate in the 1 in 11 consultant general medical emergency on-call rota.
Oversee the care of gastroenterology inpatients on Whippingham Ward.
Research & Audit
Engage in research relevant to the gastroenterology service.
Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Teaching And Research:
Contribute to the education of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in the teaching of undergraduates, postgraduates, and nurses.
Management:
Provide clinical leadership and management within the gastroenterology service.
Participate in departmental and directorate meetings to support service development.

A special interest in hepatology or gastroenterology that complements existing services.
