Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations, including medical and dental history review, to assess orthodontic needs.
  
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive diagnostic findings (cephalometric analysis, study models, photographs, etc.).
  
• Administer a full spectrum of orthodontic treatments:
  
• Fixed appliances (metal, ceramic, self-ligating, lingual braces)
  
• Removable appliances (retainers, aligners, functional appliances)
  
• Invisalign and other clear aligner systems
  
• Interceptive orthodontics for children and adolescents
  
• Orthognathic surgical planning and collaborative treatment with oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
  
• Place, adjust, and manage orthodontic appliances, including bracket bonding, archwire placement, and activation.
  
• Monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  
• Fabricate and deliver retainers.
  
• Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations.
  

• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients of all ages, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures in a clear and professional manner.
  
• Address patient concerns and questions, ensuring a comfortable and positive patient experience.
  
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and informed consent documentation.
  

• Collaborate effectively with other dental professionals, including general dentists, pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, and dental hygienists.
  
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to ensure coordinated patient care.
  
• Refer patients to other specialists when necessary.
  

• Adhere to the guidelines and standards set by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
  
• Remain current with the latest advancements in orthodontics through continuing medical education (CME) activities, conferences, and relevant literature.
  
• Contribute to the advancement of orthodontic knowledge through research activities (optional).
  

• MDS in Orthodontics from a recognized Medical College in India
  

• 2 years of work experience in Orthodontics after post graduation.
  

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  

• Proficiency in using orthodontic software and tools.
  

• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to diverse patient needs.
