Azubi (Ausbildung)

Overview:

Kaiserswerther Diakonie is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals to join our Azubi (Ausbildung) program as Healthcare Assistants in our Care Home. This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience and professional training in a supportive and dynamic environment, preparing you for a rewarding career in elder care.

Responsibilities:

1. Resident Care:
   

   • Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
     
   • Monitor and record vital signs under the supervision of senior staff.
     
   • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
     

2. Clinical Support:
   

   • Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical procedures and examinations.
     
   • Prepare and maintain resident rooms, ensuring cleanliness and order.
     
   • Transport residents to different areas within the care home.
     

3. Documentation and Reporting:
   

   • Maintain accurate records of resident care and activities.
     
   • Report any changes in resident conditions to supervising staff promptly.
     

4. Education and Training:
   

   • Participate in classroom-based learning and practical training sessions.
     
   • Complete assigned coursework and exams as part of the Ausbildung program.
     
   • Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities.
     

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum of a secondary school diploma (Mittlere Reife or equivalent).
  
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in German (B2 level or higher).
  
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, empathy, and a commitment to resident care.
  
• Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required.
