Leadership & Service Development:
Oversee the setup and operational establishment of a new care home, ensuring it meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Lead the registration process with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), ensuring compliance from day one.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and frameworks to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and other senior staff to shape the vision and values of the care home.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance:
Act as the primary Responsible Person with the CQC, ensuring compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and all other relevant legislation.
Maintain oversight of care standards, ensuring the service meets or exceeds CQC requirements at all times.
Conduct audits and reviews to monitor service quality and address any areas for improvement.
Lead the investigation and resolution of complaints and safeguarding concerns in accordance with regulations.
Strategic Development:
Drive the strategic planning and growth of the care home, ensuring it becomes a leading provider in London.
Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, Social Services, and other stakeholders to secure placements and establish the home as a trusted care provider.
Monitor and respond to sector trends, adapting the service to meet evolving needs and demands.
Team Leadership & Training:
Recruit, mentor, and support senior staff, including the Registered Manager, to ensure strong and effective leadership at all levels.
Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and professional development.
Ensure all staff receive appropriate training and are equipped to deliver exceptional care.
Operational Oversight:
Provide senior-level oversight of all aspects of care home operations, including financial performance, occupancy levels, and quality assurance.
Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
Create and maintain robust risk management strategies to protect residents, staff, and the organisation.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Extensive senior-level experience in managing care homes, particularly within supported living, residential care, or learning disabilities services.
Proven track record of being the Nominated Individual or Responsible Person with the CQC.
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, health and safety standards, and safeguarding protocols.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, including setting up new services.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Recognized qualification in care management or equivalent professional credentials.
Current registration with the CQC (or demonstrable ability to obtain registration).
Valid DBS check and right to work in the UK.
