Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex medical conditions.

Procedures: Perform advanced medical procedures pertinent to critical care, such as airway management, central venous catheterization, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure integrated patient care.

Education: Participate in the training and supervision of junior medical staff and contribute to ongoing educational activities within the department.

Quality Improvement: Engage in clinical governance activities, including audits and quality improvement projects, to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification.
Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
EDAIC, EDIC, MRCP or FRCA.
Fellowship of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FFICM) examination or equivalent.

Experience:

Demonstrable proficiency in handling Acute Medicine or Critical Care cases.

Skills:

Proficiency in critical care procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
