Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients, including physical examinations, medical histories, and diagnostic evaluations.
  
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric conditions, from common illnesses (e.g., infections) to chronic diseases (e.g., asthma, diabetes).
  
• Manage acute and emergency situations, such as respiratory distress, seizures, and severe infections.
  

• Administer routine vaccinations as per the national immunization schedule.
  
• Provide guidance on nutrition, growth, and developmental milestones.
  
• Educate parents and caregivers on preventive health measures, including hygiene and safety.
  

• Address complex pediatric cases that require specialized knowledge, such as congenital disorders, genetic conditions, or rare diseases.
  
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists (e.g., pediatric cardiologists, neurologists) for comprehensive care.
  

• Educate families about child health, developmental concerns, and proper care practices.
  
• Offer support and counseling to parents dealing with challenging diagnoses or developmental delays.
  

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, and social workers.
  
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists or facilities when advanced care is required.
  

• Participate in public health initiatives, such as campaigns promoting childhood vaccination or disease prevention.
  
• Contribute to health education programs in schools or community centers.
  

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric medicine by attending workshops, conferences, and training programs.
  
• Engage in research or quality improvement projects to enhance pediatric healthcare practices in Saudi Arabia.
  

• Maintain detailed medical records and documentation for each patient.
  
• Adhere to the policies and regulations set by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and healthcare institutions.
  

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Paediatrics from a recognized Medical College in India
  

• 2 years of work experience in paediatrics after post graduation.
  

• Demonstrable expertise and proficiency in handling acute paediatrics cases in the ER as well as in the wards.
  
• Expertise in conducting Diagnostic and Monitoring Procedures like blood sampling, Lumbar Punctures and Growth monitoring.
  
• Experience in handling respiratory procedures like Airway Management, Nebulizer Therapy etc.
  
• Good communication skills to educate patients and parents about ailments and management.
