North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) are are looking for an experience doctor for the position of Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine. This is a chance to develop your clinical skills in Emergency Medicine and explore areas that hold special interest for the candidate.

Job Overview

Role and Responsibilities

Fully involved in all aspects of the work of the department under the supervision of the consultants.
Attend to the initial assessment and treatment of the patients attending the department across the spectrum of Emergency Medicine.
Participate in the Education and Training, Clinical Audit, Clinical Risk Management and the Clinical Governance activities of the Department and Trust ensuring full and proper records are completed for this purpose.

Education and Qualifications	Full GMC Registration with a current license to practice. Provider status at ALS (UK Resuscitation Council equivalent)	Provider status in ATLS or APLS
Experience and Knowledge	Significant experience in an NHS Emergency Medicine role following training Successful completion for of a UK based Foundation Programme or equivalent Excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues, managers and other staff Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients Evidence of commitment/insight to the area of special interest	A commitment to, and experience of teaching
Management and Administrative Skills	Ability to advise on efficient and smooth running of the service. Ability to organise and manage own workload efficiently.	Experience of audit management.
Teaching	Experience of and commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.	Experience of teaching basic clinical skills to undergraduates Teaching of non-medical health professionals. Educational Qualification
Research, Audit, and Clinical Governance	Experience of, and commitment to, medical audit. Experience of research and Clinical Governance	Postgraduate research Publications in referred journals
Communication skills and abilities	Empathetic and sensitive approach to patient needs. Approachable and effective Multi-disciplinary team member with excellent interpersonal skills. Team loyalty Confident approach without being arrogant Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Confidence without arrogance. Strong IT and presentation skills.
