Clinical Duties
|
- Diagnose and treat disorders of the ear,
nose, throat, head, and neck, including but not limited to:
- Hearing
loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders.
- Sinusitis,
tonsillitis, and voice disorders.
- Allergies,
infections, and structural abnormalities.
- Perform surgical procedures such as:
- Tonsillectomies,
adenoidectomies, septoplasty, rhinoplasty, and tympanoplasty.
- Head
and neck surgeries, including tumor removal and reconstructive
surgeries.
- Manage ENT-related emergencies, including
foreign body removal, severe nosebleeds, and airway obstructions.
- Provide pediatric ENT care, addressing
congenital abnormalities, recurrent ear infections, and airway issues in
children.
- Evaluate and treat voice and swallowing
disorders.
- Diagnose and manage head and neck cancers,
collaborating with oncologists for comprehensive care.

Patient Care
|
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history,
physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about ENT conditions,
treatment options, and preventive care.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and maintain accurate medical
records.

Collaboration and Referrals
|
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including
audiologists, speech therapists, and oncologists, for multidisciplinary care.
- Refer patients to other specialists when necessary.
|
Compliance and Professional Development
|
- Adhere to the guidelines and standards set by the Saudi Commission
for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
- Maintain licensure and participate in continuous medical education
(CME) programs.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ENT medicine and
incorporate evidence-based practices.
|
Administrative Duties
| - Participate in hospital committees
and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the development and
implementation of clinical protocols and policies.
