Patient Care:
-Deliver holistic nursing care to residents, ensuring their needs are met in a compassionate and professional manner.
-Monitor and assess residents' health conditions, including vital signs, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, and overall physical status.
-Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per care plans, ensuring accurate dosage and timely delivery.
-Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding for residents who need help.
-Implement care plans for residents with specific needs (e.g., dementia, palliative care, rehabilitation).
-Coordinate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to review and adjust treatment plans.
Documentation & Reporting:
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, including progress notes, medication logs, and assessments.
-Document changes in patient conditions and report any concerns to the physician or nurse in charge.
-Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in relation to patient records and privacy.
Team Collaboration:
-Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including other nurses, healthcare assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers.
-Participate in shift handovers to ensure continuity of care.
-Train and mentor junior staff or nursing assistants as needed.
Family & Patient Communication:
-Establish strong, empathetic relationships with residents and their families, providing emotional support and addressing concerns.
-Educate family members on care protocols, disease management, and health strategies.
Infection Control & Safety:
-Adhere to infection control practices and safety protocols to prevent the spread of illness and protect residents and staff.
-Ensure the facility is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
-Conduct regular health and safety checks on equipment and patient care environments.
Shift Work & Flexibility:
-Work on a rotational shift basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
-Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care in urgent situations.
Professional Development:
-Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to keep up with best practices in nursing care.
-Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions on improving patient care standards.
