The Locum Consultant in General Radiology with a Special Interest in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Imaging will join the Radiology Department, primarily based at Northwick Park Hospital. The role includes providing general radiology services, with a focus on MSK imaging, across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. The consultant will also be expected to contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, support service development, and engage in training and teaching activities.

Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide general radiology services, including diagnostic imaging for a wide range of conditions.
Perform musculoskeletal imaging using MRI, CT, and ultrasound.
Carry out image-guided interventional procedures, such as joint injections and biopsies.
Support the acute radiology service, with a focus on MSK imaging.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Take a proactive role in the development of anaesthesia services and contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Work closely with clinical leads and other consultants to improve service delivery and implement new clinical pathways.
Teaching and Training:
Provide training and mentorship to junior doctors, radiographers, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in educational activities, including clinical teaching and supervision of radiology trainees.
Service Development and Governance:
Contribute to the development of MSK radiology services within the Trust.
Engage in clinical audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and service delivery.

Experience in diagnostic and interventional MSK imaging using MRI, CT, ultrasound, and image-guided procedures.
Prior experience in NHS radiology services is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clinical teams.
